The Road To Hell update 1.1 - The "No AI Art" Update

The Road to Hell has just been updated to remove all AI-generated art. No changes to the game text have been made.

I've become increasingly uncomfortable with some of the underlying ethics of commercial AI-generated art. AI art tools are very cool, and very impressive. They are also a fun side track during game jams like Game Dunk - creating art quickly as part of the deadline. But ultimately AI art is - I am now convinced - unsuitable for my projects.

My main concern is the credit and compensation of artists whose work is used to train AI models. The line between machines creating and plagiarising is not as clear as I would need it to be to incorporate AI art into my projects in the future.

Plus, there are already so many great places where small creators like me can access free or cheap art and art resources. I don't need to rely on AI art.

Also, I think it looks better this way. 😊
